STORY COLLECTIVE

Our favorite quarterly event is back! Join us for another fantastic evening of libations, music, and true stories that will make you laugh and pull on your heart strings. This event will be a packed house so buy your tickets now!

Story Collective is a storytelling series with the mission of connecting people through the art of storytelling. For each event, our producers select 8 storytellers around a chosen theme to write and read a true story. Our storytellers come from all backgrounds, many have never stepped foot on a stage, and most are not professional writers. We believe that everyone has a story to tell.

Ages 16+ suggested. Parental supervision required. This shows theme: CHANGE.

Learn about EFAA‘s programs and services to support local families in need, while enjoying live music, great food, and local libations at Junkyard Social Club.

Whether you’re a die-hard punk fan or a lover of all things burlesque and drag, Pretty in Punk promises to be an unforgettable night of daring and unbridled entertainment. So grab your friends, let loose, and join us for a show that will leave you breathless and wanting more. We dare you to be Pretty in Punk!

WATERWINGS Live! A Musical Storytelling Puppet Circus

Water Wings is a live musical storytelling and puppet circus experience, bringing to life the of the illustrated storybook directed and narrated by Gabriel “Gah-bé” Vanaver, and Illustrated by Katherine Breen. 

The story follows a little fish that gets swept up by a water spirit in a birdlike bubble of water. They fly through a hurricane and witness the power of destruction and the rebuilding that happens after disasters.

Everyone over two needs a ticket!

Summit Stories: Tales of Climbing, Confidence, and Community

Join us for a heartwarming community storytelling night! The evening will feature stories of climbing, community, and connection from inspiring women and non-binary individuals.

Stories begin around 6:15pm. Come early to grab food and drink from the Junkyard Cafe, mingle, and snag goodies from our partners: Cotopaxi, Arc’teryx, Movement Gyms, and SCARPA. 

People of all ages and gender identities are welcome. Stories will be appropriate for ages 10 and above. 

This event is a fundraiser for our Girls Lead for Life Program: a free after school program for adolescent girls and non-binary youth that uses indoor and outdoor rock climbing to build social emotional and leadership skills, confidence, and positive peer relationships.

Mah Jongg Boot Camp

Welcome to the Beginner Mah Jongg Boot Camp!

Ready to dive into the world of Mah Jongg?

Join us for a fun-filled day of learning and playing this classic game. Whether you’re a complete newbie or just need a refresher, our boot camp is perfect for all skill levels. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the rules, strategies, and etiquette of Mah Jongg. Get ready to sharpen your mind, make new friends, and have a blast! (And I promise, you’ll be playing by the end of the morning!)

Schedule
8:45 am – doors open

9:00 am – class begins (please arrive early so we can start on time)

There will be breaks throughout the morning, and we will plan to end promptly at noon. Participants are welcome to stay and play for a while if you would like.

Mini Mahh jongg Tournament

Welcome to the Mini Mah Jongg Tournament! Join us for a fun-filled day of friendly competition at Junkyard Social Club.

Schedule
5:00 pm – doors open
5:30 pm – Introduction
5:45 pm – Round 1 play begins
6:45 pm – Snacks and drinks
7:15 pm – Round 2 play begins
8:15 pm – round 3 play begins
9:15 pm – Prizes and Celebration!

Your ticket includes sparkling water and snacks. Additional food, cocktails and beverages are available for purchase at the Junkyard Social Club Cafe.

Competitive tables – players should expect to play at a pace equal to 4 hands in 55 minutes
Just-for-fun tables – players should be comfortable playing without long pauses or a lot of questions and assume a pace of 3-4 hands per hour.

Refunds through May 31st only, after May 31st, no refunds will be granted.

Hat burnin'/Wine Sippin'

Join us for a fun evening of hat burning and wine sipping at Junkyard Social Club! This is a great opportunity to meet new people, enjoy some good wine, and have a unique experience. Whether you’re a hat enthusiast or just looking for a fun night out, this event is perfect for you.

So mark your calendars and get ready for a memorable evening of Hat Burnin/Wine Sippin! We will provide the hats and tools. A waiver will need to be signed at the event.
